Questions and answers

Do I need photos of the new place?

No. Photos are optional: send it with an empty house while the hallway is still full of boxes, and the roof still lifts onto your message, the date and the address. If you do add them, up to three are pinned on the wall inside, which is the whole point of taking the roof off — the first room of the new place, the keys in a hand, the view from the window.

What if the date or the address is not settled yet?

Leave either field empty. The card then says the date will follow in person, or that the address is coming separately, and everything else works exactly the same. What the house will not do is run a guest list — no map pin, no plus-ones, no reminders. The name above the house belongs to that one Giftable, so to greet several people by name you create one each.

How do guests reply, and what does it cost?

The last screen asks whether they are coming, with three answers built in — coming, cannot make it, will write to you. You can replace it with your own single-choice, multiple-choice or short-text questions before sending. Their answer is saved and returns to you as a reply to your Giftable. Building and previewing are free; one Giftable costs €3, three cost €5 and ten cost €10.
