Are photos required, and does anyone have to install an app?
Photos are required for this format — the whole thing is a photo developing, so you cannot finish it without at least one. Up to twelve go into the stack, in your order, and any of them can carry a caption. Whoever you send it to opens a browser link on a phone or a laptop: no app, no account, nothing to download.
How does the recipient answer, and can I send one link to the whole family?
After the last card comes your question. The built-in one is “What do you say?” with three answers that suit the news — congratulations, so moved, bringing a gift — and you can replace it with your own questions before sending. One link is all there is: drop it in the family chat and every person who opens it develops the photo and leaves their own answer, and each answer comes back on your Giftable. They can also forward it straight to you on WhatsApp or Telegram. Does developing the photo need shaking, and can it hold a due date?
No shaking and no motion sensor: the picture comes up as a finger (or a mouse) rubs across the print, a tap nudges it along, Enter and Space work for keyboard users, and with reduced motion switched on a “Develop the photo” button finishes it in one press. This format has no date or place field, so a due date, a birth weight or a time to come and visit belongs inside your message.
